IT Support Team Leader
Emerge Digital is a world-class, award-winning MSP. We are passionate about what we do and passionate about our people, who are key to our success. Innovation is at the heart of everything we do, from our approach to technology and delivery of excellence to our customers through to our organisational culture and people processes.
As we continue along our journey of growth, we need to ensure that we have the right people in place at the right time to deliver our ambitious business plan. As a result, we are now seeking to appoint an experienced IT Support Team Leader with second line engineering skills. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a talented individual who is keen make their mark in an organisation which recognises and rewards endeavour, and which is committed to the continued development of its people.
Key Responsibilities
• Day to day management of service desk function including managing ticket queues, managing onsite support visits and liaising with third party service providers to ensure an effective service provision to customers.
• Provide technical support in managing customer tickets, escalations and urgent issues either either onsite, via phone or by email.
• Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles.
• Coaching and mentoring of first line support colleagues and / or apprentices.
• Support the senior management team in the growth and improvement of the support function.
We’re Looking For
• Someone with ambition and drive to make a positive impact in the development and management of the support function.
• A passion for customer service.
• Someone with an eye for detail, a passion for process and an understanding of the importance of detailed documentation.
• Strong second line technical support experience within managed IT services organisation.
• Technical skills covering Microsoft 365, Azure, network management and cyber security.
• Excellent problem management and problem solving skills.
• A great telephone manner and face to face communication skills.
• Ideally some relevant Microsoft certifications.
Note that this post will require travel to client sites as business needs dictate. Applicants should hold a full UK driving license.
Salary – £30k-£36k

Lead Technical Architect

As we continue along our journey of growth, we need to ensure that we have the right people in place at the right time to deliver our ambitious business plan. As a result, we are now seeking to appoint an experienced Lead Technical Architect. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a talented individual who is keen make their mark in an organisation which recognises and rewards endeavour, and which is committed to the continued development of its people.
Key Responsibilities include:
• The technical lead in the design and delivery of projects to our SME and mid-market clients. Projects predominantly cover cloud, network and security infrastructure with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365 and Azure.
• Accountable for the delivery of projects in a timely manner, to budget and to agreed outcomes, ensuring prompt invoicing to customer high degree of customer satisfaction.
• Supervisory role for the project team and the projects they are delivering. This will include mentoring and development of the team as part of the businesses focus on continual improvement.
• Working alongside the sales team and using technical experience to work with customers at a consultative level to develop and discuss IT strategies. Where not already in place, assist with the definition and documentation of customer IT strategies and solutions to address business challenges.
• A point of technical escalation within the business to assist in the resolution of complex problems.
• Accountable for the internal infrastructure of the business including its security and maintenance.
• A technical leader in the business that promotes the use of best practice, seeks out opportunity for improvement and plays an active part in the development of new products and services.
• Support the senior management team in the growth and improvement of the professional services function.
We’re Looking For:
• Advanced technical skills covering Microsoft 365, Azure, network management and cyber security.
• Someone with ambition and drive to make a positive impact on the growth and success of our Professional Services department
• A passion for customers service.
• Someone with an eye for detail, a passion for process and an understanding of the importance of detailed documentation.
• Strong third line and above technical support experience within managed IT services organisation.
• Excellent problem management and problem solving skills.
• A great telephone manner and face to face communication skills.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications.
Salary – £55k-£70k
